Lissa Squiers is a native Houstonian with children in the public schools and family members in local unions. Lissa has her BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston and her MBA from U of H. She is a tireless community advocate and volunteer. Lissa is on the Board of the Houston Economic Summit, The Women's Summit Texas, Texas Democratic Women Harris County, and is a lead convener in the All Kids Alliance Cradle to Career Program. She has hosted events for the Dismantling the Cradle to Prison Pipeline and speaks at City Council about alternatives to usurious payday lending companies. Lissa knows that when families do well, communities do well. And that when businesses and communities work together, everyone prospers.
